O'Brien's Sleepy Hollow Wedding with Magical Nighttime Photos

O’Brien’s Sleepy Hollow is the kind wedding venue that sets the bar high for others. It has everything from stunning outdoor spaces to incredible fresh food. I’ve photographed multiple weddings here and even had my own wedding here! Check out these vibrant photos, and learn why I think O’Brien’s Sleepy Hollow is one of the best wedding venues in East Aurora.

An O’Brien’s Sleepy Hollow Wedding

There’s a lot to love about O’Brien’s Sleepy Hollow. As a wedding photographer, though, I’m blown away by the landscape. The five-acre property is absolutely gorgeous. It’s so lush that it’s a dream spot for a wedding. It’s one of those places where you don’t need much decor because the place itself is so beautiful.

The venue sits beside Buffalo Creek just five minutes from Main Street in East Aurora. This area is green, making it an amazing venue in spring, summer, or fall. You get to fully enjoy the season’s beauty. The buildings are rustic but elegant. The beautiful woodwork feels almost like natural part of the landscape.

The rental fees at O’Brien’s Sleepy Hollow are relatively affordable compared to a lot of area venues. They start at $3,700 for a ceremony and reception. A wedding with a buffet style reception costs about $16,000.

A Beautiful East Aurora Wedding Venue

The images in this blog post are from Rachel and JP’s 2021 wedding. Theirs was the second wedding I photographed there. (My first was in 2019.) I love this venue so much that in 2021 I also got married there!

When I photographed at O’Brien’s Sleepy Hollow in 2019, the staff impressed me They ran things so professionally that I knew this was the right wedding venue for me. The events of 2020 caused us to change plans for our dream wedding day. Fortunately, Dennis and Julie of O’Briens were instantly accommodating. They helped us reschedule the wedding date to the following year so that we could have the party we wanted.

Even though O’Brien’s Sleepy Hollow was only the second wedding venue we looked at, my partner and I were confident that we made the right choice. It’s a venue for nature lovers, nestled along a gorgeous creek in a quiet area. The space just felt like us and perfect for the wedding we wanted.

Anyone who gets married at O’Brien’s Sleepy Hollow is going to get a meal to remember too. Before my wedding, I’d heard great things. The venue offers a taste testing night for booked couples to come and experience the food and staff. I tell everyone that O’Brien’s is the best slice of prime rib I’ve had outside of Italy. They have tons of options for mains, sides, and hor d’ourves. Plus they cook everything right in house.

When my partner and I got married in 2021, we decide to keep everything like a regular wedding day. We performed the ceremony with “one year in” vows. Then we had the dinner and party we had so looked forward to. It was an absolutely dreamy day. The party was definitely worth the extra year of waiting.

Vibrant Wedding Photography at O’Brien’s Sleepy Hollow

O’Brien’s Sleepy Hollow gives you space to relax and have fun with your favorite people. You can see in Rachel and JP’s photos how they had plenty of space to be with their wedding party and soak up private moments.

For cocktail hour, Rachel and JP chose to use the barn. It gave guests access to a larger part of the property. Their guests had a blast exploring the grounds.

Overall, the beautiful greenery and romantic settings make it easy to relax at this wedding venue. You can stay present and connect. That leads to all the best photos, in my opinion.

At night, O’Brien’s Sleepy Hollow lights some trees with strings of white lights. I loved stealing Rachel and JP away for some romantic night portraits. It brought a creative quality to their wedding gallery. I can’t wait to photograph here again!
