In Spring of 2018, Becky and Brian reached out to me for their wedding day photography. At the time, it was over a year and a half prior to the wedding, so we had no idea how the day would go or what any of the plans were. We scheduled an engagement session for the Summer of 2018 and then said our good byes for almost a year.
(One thing newly engaged couples should be aware of -- after signing your contract and if you do the engagement session, you shouldn't expect to hear from your photographer until weeks prior to the wedding for the pre-wedding meeting... this is scary for some couples, but always feel free to reach out and as any questions necessary. Wedding Photographers essentially become wedding planners, we can help throughout the process up till the wedding day.)
When we met again in July of this year, it was like time didn't pass. Becky and Brian had just gotten settled in their new home, and it was such a lovely surprise to see some of the engagement photos hanging on the wall. Becky was the perfect bride, she had a whole lay out of the day, all the photos she wanted taken, the times written out for when we would need to meet for getting ready, when we would go to the venue, when the second shooter would meet with the groomsmen... so on and so forth. I never expect this out of anyone, that's why we have the pre-wedding meeting, but it a nice surprise when it's all ready for me.
The wedding day, it was such a pleasure to work with everyone in the wedding party. Everyone was so cooperative and open to the camera. You could see how excited they were for Becky and Brian.
One of my favorite moments of the day is one of the most cliche... the look of the groom as his future wife walks down the aisle. Truly in these photos you could see the love in both of their eyes and this look lasted for the entire ceremony. Can we talk about how they are the perfect couple!?
I had so much fun during this wedding, it was hard for me to leave. Becky and Brian had not only one but two choreographed dances, the DJ got the dance floor rocking, there was a fun game of "spin the bottle" which forced almost everyone to get in the middle of the dance floor at one point.
To wrap it all up, I am so proud of the photos of Becky and Brian's Wedding Day. Not only were they super easy and lovely to photograph, but they allowed for such fun and loving photos. I am so excited to share these with you... enjoy!
