Whether you want your wedding to be an intimate dinner party for twenty or the biggest, best dance party of your life, finding the right venue is key. As a Buffalo wedding photographer, I’ve seen so much of what our amazing city has to offer. These are eleven of my favorite Buffalo New York wedding venues!
11 Cool Buffalo New York Wedding Venues
1. Buffalo History Museum
The Buffalo History Museum is one of those Buffalo New York wedding venues that’s perfect for architecture nerds and lovers of elegant spaces. You can have your ceremony on the front steps framed by Romanesque columns. Receptions take place in the State Court Room with its gorgeous woodwork and mezzanine. This venue is stunning.
2. Twentieth Century Club
The Twentieth Century Club is equally beautiful. Walking into this venue feels like walking onto the set of a period romance. Arched windows, engraved columns, and a magical garden provide endless locations for jaw-dropping portraits. The only catch is that you need one of the club’s members to sponsor you in order to host your wedding here.

3. The Mansion at Delaware Park
The Mansion at Delaware Park is actually a hotel. It’s a great example of luxurious nineteenth-century architecture. Plus you get all the conveniences of a hotel without ending up in a generic ballroom. This spot is really unique.
4. The Statler
The Statler is another historic hotel with cool details. The ballroom where weddings take place includes incredible tiled floors and huge chandeliers. Some of the halls are bright yellow and lined with towering windows. It has Titanic energy for sure.
5. Knox Farms State Park
This is the only state park that made the cut for this list of Buffalo New York wedding venues. Knox Farms State Park is located in East Aurora. The lush grounds are ideal for portraits regardless of whether you host your ceremony and reception there. If you want to hold your hold celebration at the park, though, you can rent a historic mansion on site.
6. Wayland Brewery
Wayland Brewery is in Orchard Park. This space is one of the most modern Buffalo New York wedding venues. Skylights illuminate a minimalist space that’s perfect for intimate gatherings.
7. 500 Pearl
500 Pearl is an enormous building with multiple wedding venues inside it. The Grand Aeries (pictured here) and Forbes Theater are the most classically elegant. As you can imagine, this venue can host very large weddings easily.
8. The Lake House on Canandaigua
Of all the Buffalo New York wedding venues on this list, the Lake House on Canandaigua is the farthest afield. Located about an hour and a half east of the city, you get all the natural beauty of Western New York. Their modern event building has lots of natural light and opens right onto the lake.
9. The Bank of East Aurora
The Bank of East Aurora is such a fun wedding venue! The 1920s architecture is topped only by quirky details like the immaculately preserved vault. It’s such a good location for glamorous wedding photos. The venue also has a cool vintage car that’s fun for portraits.

10. Hartrich Chateau
Hartrich Chateau is another venue that’s all about natural beauty. It’s a big estate-style venue with over 130 acres. Given the size of the property, there are multiple ceremony and reception spaces available. Your portraits definitely will have a sense of whimsy with all the greenery around.

11. Shea’s Buffalo Theatre
Shea’s Buffalo Theatre is one of those places that has so much character. You can give your wedding all the (good) drama it deserves. At the very least, consider getting some creative engagement photos in the phenomenal lobby.
